MAPESA creates and expands or deepens canals, basins, or port docks. With new international conditions and the entry into force of the USA-Colombia Free Trade Agreement, Baranquilla must expand its port capacity, in order to streamline Colombia’s exportation of carbon, oil, gas, and other resources to ports throughout the world.
